CIRSE is dedicated to helping improve the quality of patient care in interventional radiology. In line with this, the society’s Standards of Practice Committee (SOPC) has been charged with creating CIRSE standards of practice documents that assist interventional radiologists in their daily practice.
The standards of practice documents produced by the SOPC are aimed at experienced interventional radiologists as well as novices in the field of IR, and may also be used as a reference for physicians from other medical specialties. Topics for the CIRSE standards of practice documents are highly specific, covering particular procedures.
