European Certification for Endovascular Specialists

CIRSE is offering a specialist certification for EBIR holders who seek recognition of their expertise and experience in the field of endovascular therapy. This advanced qualification aims to further the acknowledgement of IRs as experts in minimally-invasive, image-guided endovascular treatment and provide a certification of documented experience to support IRs at a local level.

Scope of this certification

This evidence-based certification allows IRs to prove their expert knowledge which has been gained through the extensive performance of endovascular procedures. It is based on the European Curriculum and Syllabus for IR and highlights the important role that endovascular therapy plays within IR practice. To effectively verify an applicant’s experience, the application process will feature a number of elements including the provision of specific documentation co-signed by an authorised representative and the completion of CIRSE Academy online learning courses.

Successful recipients of the European Certificate for Endovascular Specialists are entitled to use the post-nominal qualification EBIR-ES.
