Since 2010, CIRSE has supported undergraduate medical students who are considering IR as their future career. The Student Programme – Be inspIRed aims to provide them with as much information as possible about this growing, innovative medical subspecialty.
The CIRSE Student Programme is held at the CIRSE Annual Meeting. All undergraduate medical students are invited to attend the congress for free in order to enjoy education, engaging and fun IR-related onsite sessions and events tailored especially to students’ needs. The number of students attending the CIRSE Annual Meeting increases every year, and since the Student Programme was launched, more than 1,900 students have taken advantage of this great initiative. The Student Programme enables students to learn about IR and its applications by attending recommended scientific sessions, taking part in hands-on device trainings and simulation sessions, or joining learning centres workshops, which are coordinated by CIRSE’s industry partners.
Furthermore, students are also invited to join the mentoring event, where they can chat with mentors – professional IRs – from their countries and discuss what steps to take in order to become an IR in their home country. Students can also look forward to a Students’ Quiz, where they can prove their IR knowledge in a fun atmosphere through friendly rivalry, and join a social gathering in a cozy bar located in the heart of the city! Throughout the whole congress, students can hang out, relax and network at the Students’ Lounge, where free lunch is also served.
Join us online at the CIRSE 2020 Summit and celebrate with us the 10th Student Programme anniversary!
