The CIRSE Library is the world’s most comprehensive collection of educational content in interventional radiology. Launched in 2018, it provides healthcare professionals with access to a continually growing repository of evidence-based learning resources, including recorded congress lectures and posters, case-based clinical videos, on-demand webinars, curated topic packages, and more.

Designed to support continuous professional development, the CIRSE Library offers both foundational and advanced educational content covering the full spectrum of interventional radiology. With thousands of searchable resources, curated topic collections, and a dedicated study page for European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) candidates, it enables users to easily explore procedures, disease areas, and the latest developments in the field.

Bringing together educational content from CIRSE congresses, group member society congresses, courses, webinars, and expert contributors, the CIRSE Library serves as a comprehensive, up-to-date resource for lifelong learning across the global IR community.

The Featured Content section on the CIRSE Library homepage showcases selected educational resources, including newly released content, observance day collections, and, occasionally, free premium content. It highlights recommended learning opportunities and makes it easy to discover timely and relevant educational material.

The Highlights in IR section offers the following types of content:

  • Case-based educational videos: Engaging videos that present interesting clinical cases, highlighting key learning points, clinical decision-making, and treatment outcomes.
  • Procedural videos: Recorded interventional procedures that provide a step-by-step walkthrough of the entire intervention, from patient assessment and preparation to equipment selection, procedural techniques, and the procedure itself. Each video concludes with the clinical outcome, patient follow-up, and key take-home messages, giving viewers a comprehensive understanding of the complete treatment pathway. • CIRSE Standards of Practice videos: Based on CIRSE’s Standards of Practice (SOP) documents, the CIRSE Library offers two complementary videos for each SOP. The first video is a brief overview of the SOP, highlighting the key recommendations and take-home messages. The second is a case-based procedural video demonstrating interventional techniques step by step, with a focus on applying the standards and best practices outlined in the corresponding SOP.

All Highlights in IR videos including procedural and SOP videos, are free to watch. Simply login into your myCIRSE account which is free to create.

CIRSE’s curated topic packages consist of a collection of educational material within focused clinical contexts, containing selected presentations from CIRSE events, relevant literature, and clinical guidelines. Each package offers expert insights across a wide range of topics, from vascular and oncological interventions to emerging techniques.

The European Training Forum (ETF) section supports medical students, trainees, and early-career interventional radiologists on their training journey. It includes webinar recordings, trainee-focused sessions, short educational talks, student programme content, and recordings from the Global Junior IR Summit.

The EBIR Preparation page provides an additional learning resource to support candidates preparing for the (EBIR) examination.

The page is structured according to the chapters of the latest edition of the European Curriculum and Syllabus for Interventional Radiology. Each chapter brings together a curated selection of recommended lectures from CIRSE events, CIRSE Academy courses, and relevant reading materials, offering candidates a structured and curriculum-aligned approach to their exam preparation.

Please note that access to CIRSE Academy courses requires an All-Access Pass.
