TACE and TARE, Rome/IT, April 8-9, 2027

Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and transarterial radioembolization (TARE) have become cornerstone therapies in the treatment of primary and secondary liver malignancies. As indications continue to expand and technologies evolve, interventional radiologists must be familiar with the latest evidence, treatment strategies, and technical developments to deliver safe and effective patient care.

This ESIR course will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the current role of TACE and TARE in the management of liver tumours, covering patient selection, procedural planning, technical considerations, and treatment outcomes. Through expert lectures, case-based discussions, and interactive learning, attendees will gain practical insights into the decision-making process and learn how to optimize these therapies in daily clinical practice.

Extensive hands-on workshops will give participants the opportunity to work with the latest angiographic devices, imaging technologies, embolic materials, and dosimetry tools under the guidance of experienced faculty. Combining state-of-the-art education with practical training, this course will equip physicians with the knowledge and confidence to incorporate contemporary liver-directed therapies into their clinical practice.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for interventional radiologists who have completed their radiology training.

To further multidisciplinary team building, multidisciplinary colleagues may attend this course together with an interventional radiologist from the same hospital under the registration type “Team fee.”
