The call for applications for the 2027 funding cycle will be made at the end of 2026. Stay tuned!
Application criteria
- Applicant must be an interventional radiologist (in training) or a radiologist with interventional radiology experience
- Applicant must be a CIRSE member in good standing
Application process
Candidates are required to get in touch with the training centre of their choice and make preliminary arrangements. You can select up to three recommended training centres and write to [email protected] for the respective contact details.
Applications will be submitted via the online application portal. Please make sure to upload the following documents before the deadline:
- Motivation letter clearly formulating the educational goals of the planned fellowship
- Recommendation letter from current head of department
- Letter from hosting institution confirming preliminary arrangements (click here to download a template)
- Budget outlining how the grant will be spent. Please note that the grant must be used to cover travel expenses, housing, and other indirect costs.
- Completed and signed application form in PDF format
Additionally, applicants will be asked to submit information regarding the following points in the online application form:
- Previous publications in CVIR, CVIR Endovascular and CVIR Oncology
- Previous presentations at CIRSE events
- Previous attendance of CIRSE events
- EBIR status (holder or applicant)
Once the applicant has successfully submitted the online application, they will receive an email confirming the submission.
Applications are then reviewed by an independent review board.
After completion of the fellowship, all candidates are requested to submit a final report to the CIRSE office within eight weeks.
