Become an EBIR contributor
Shape the future of interventional radiology by becoming an EBIR contributor. Whether you would like to join the EBIR question-writing team and develop examination questions for the next generation of interventional radiologists or become an EBIR ambassador and promote the qualification in your country, there are many ways to get involved and make a lasting impact.
Join the EBIR question writing team
As an EBIR question author, you will create high-quality examination questions that assess the knowledge and clinical reasoning of future generations of interventional radiologists.
- Promote the development of IR
- Expand your personal IR network within CIRSE
- Become a fully trained contributor
- Official recognition as a EBIR contributor
- Qualify for membership on the EBIR Council
EBIR holders can join EBIR question-writing workshops to learn the principles of assessment theory and how to develop examination questions that meet EBIR quality standards.
Training is available for both:
- A-type questions (general clinical practice examination)
- F-type questions (clinical case scenario examination)
Both workshops are offered onsite during the CIRSE Annual Congress, while the A-type workshop is also available online as a live webinar.
To attend the F-type workshop, participants must first complete the A-type question-writing workshop.
All workshops are exclusively open to EBIR holders and are led by the EBIR educationalist and expert IRs.
The most dedicated and best-performing question writers may be invited to join the EBIR Council. Becoming a member of the council is an opportunity to further develop your expertise in assessment and examination development while playing an active role in shaping the future of the EBIR.
Council members work to develop examination content, ensuring that the EBIR continues to reflect the highest standards of interventional radiology. As members gain experience, they may progress to positions of increasing responsibility, including Associate Editor, Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Chairperson, and ultimately Chairperson of the EBIR Council.
EBIR holders are regularly invited via email to participate in onsite courses and webinars. We therefore encourage you to keep an eye on our upcoming communications for future opportunities. Should you want to register your interest or require further information on the training, contact us at [email protected].
Become an EBIR ambassador
EBIR ambassadors are key representatives of the qualification within their countries. As members of the EBIR Council, they act as local points of contact for candidates, hospitals, and national societies, helping to raise awareness of the benefits of EBIR and promote the qualification within the IR community.
By sharing their experience and engaging with colleagues and institutions, EBIR ambassadors play an important role in supporting the international growth and recognition of the EBIR.
- Promote the development of IR
- Expand your personal IR network within CIRSE
- Receive official recognition as an EBIR ambassador
- Become a member of the EBIR Council
EBIR ambassadors are selected from the pool of EBIR holders by the EBIR Council every two years. If you are interested in becoming an ambassador, we encourage you to meet the EBIR team at one of our congresses or contact us at [email protected] to express your interest and learn more about the role.
