“I chose to submit for CIRSE, as I had attended the CIRSE Annual Congress virtually in the past and found the collective projects and presentations inspirational and informative.” Says 2023 scientific abstract submitter, Drew Richardson. “I knew presenting my research at CIRSE would allow me to receive world-class opinions about my project and how to direct my future research. [My advice is to] ask interesting questions. Once you have a question that you and others will want to know, the work becomes fun. Also, realize that people don’t always get abstracts accepted and that’s okay … Make sure to be aware of the submission guidelines, as your abstract will need to be concise to effectively convey your findings!
CIRSE offers a platform for practitioners at all levels of their careers. Alongside abstracts on cutting-edge research and trials, CIRSE also welcomes educational and case report abstracts to be presented as electronic posters.
Successful case report submitter Poorvi Malik told us “The CIRSE Annual Congress is one of the most prestigious interventional radiology conferences in the world, with an array of multiple hands-on workshops to basic courses with experts in their field covering nearly all aspects of interventions. This motivated me to submit an abstract and attend the conference in person. While submitting a case report, make sure the selected case is distinctive in some aspect, for e.g. a new technique/approach, use of devices, etc. Always mention a clear and structured approach to your case, for easier understanding and better representation.
