Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee

Artificial intelligence and related cutting-edge technologies are increasingly being used in modern healthcare applications; AI algorithms helping with decision-making, improving workflows, developing predictive models, providing validation, improving image quality, supporting navigation, and reducing radiation doses.

With AI holding such great potential for IR, CIRSE took a first step to integrate these important innovations in its annual congress through the SPHAIRE initiative. To steer this project in the future and form an expert body within the society, CIRSE is creating an Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee.

Subcommittee tasks

CIRSE’s leadership is keen to involve motivated experts in this important endeavour and therefore calls on its members for applications. If you would like to volunteer to join the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee, please fill in this online application form by July 4, 2025 (23:59 CEST).

The subcommittee shall be composed of experts from the field of interventional radiology, computer sciences, and other relevant disciplines, and will require a certain time commitment over the next three years as well as a good command of English.

All applications will be reviewed by the CIRSE Executive Board and successful candidates will be notified in due course.
