Endovascular aortic repair of AAA: What every IR needs to know
Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) remains a cornerstone in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms. However, as this intervention is expanding widely, it carries a significant rate of re-interventions requiring close patient follow-up. Re-interventions fall within the expertise of IR, highlighting the critical role the specialty can play.
This CIRSE webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of key considerations throughout the entire clinical pathway. From patient selection and pre-procedural planning to technical execution and the management of complications, the session will offer practical, evidence-based insights to support safe practice. Case presentations will highlight common anatomical and procedural challenges, along with strategies for optimal outcomes. Delivered by a panel of experienced interventional radiologists, the webinar will disseminate essential EVAR knowledge and encourage junior IRs and early-career consultants to participate in this expanding field of practice.
