European Certification for Interventional Oncology Specialists
CIRSE is offering a specialist certification for EBIR holders who seek recognition of their expertise and experience in the field of interventional oncology. This advanced qualification aims to further the acknowledgement of IOs as experts in minimally invasive, image-guided oncological treatments and provide certification of documented experience to support IOs at a local level.
Scope of this certification
This evidence-based certification allows IOs to prove their expert knowledge which has been gained through the extensive performance of IO procedures. It is based on the European Curriculum and Syllabus for IO and highlights the important role that interventional oncology plays within IR practice. To effectively verify an applicant’s experience, the application process will feature a number of elements, including the provision of specific documentation co-signed by an authorized representative and the completion of CIRSE Academy online learning courses.
Successful recipients of the European Certification for Interventional Oncology Specialists are entitled to use the post-nominal qualification EBIR-IO.
