Apply to become a local host for ESIR 2027!

Since 2006, the European School of Interventional Radiology (ESIR) has established itself as the premier clinical training programme for interventional radiologists around the world. With over 140 courses held across 26 countries, ESIR offers an unparalleled educational opportunity. Combining lectures, case discussions, and practical hands-on workshops, ESIR ensures that both novices and experts stay ahead of the curve in IR advancements.

ESIR courses feature:

Comprehensive theoretical lectures

The curriculum includes in-depth lectures covering relevant anatomy, pathology, procedural techniques, and device choices. These theoretical components provide a strong foundation for clinical application.

Engaging video and edited case discussions

Courses feature real-life video cases or edited case presentations, encouraging interactive discussion and real-world application of the techniques.

Hands-on workshops with advanced medical technology

Participants take part in practical workshops using state-of-the-art simulators, flow models, phantoms, and animal labs. These sessions, led by experienced faculty, offer direct experience with the latest tools and provide valuable technical feedback in a controlled, supportive environment.

ESIR courses are designed to fit into the concept of MedTech’s definition of a Third Party Organized Procedure Training (MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice) and accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).
