What do you need to know about extracranial vascular anomalies in 2026?

Thursday, January 29, 2026, 17:00-18:30 CET

Vascular anomalies (VA) represent a diverse group of conditions that require accurate diagnosis and individualized management. As new classification systems and genetic insights continue to emerge, interventional radiologists must stay informed to ensure optimal patient care.

This CIRSE webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of extracranial vascular anomalies with a focus on the latest diagnostic techniques, ISSVA classification, and treatment strategies. Special emphasis will be placed on the correlation between imaging and clinical features, the role of genetics in patient management, and how to distinguish between vascular anomaly subtypes. Through in-depth case discussions and expert-led presentations, participants will gain the tools needed to improve diagnostic accuracy and guide appropriate treatment selection. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with leading faculty during the live session.

Learning objectives

  1. To gain a clear understanding of how to select appropriate imaging modalities for the diagnosis of extracranial vascular anomalies
  2. To learn how to distinguish between different types of VA and their clinical relevance
  3. To become familiar with the ISSVA classification and its application in daily practice
  4. To enhance diagnostic accuracy by understanding the correlation between imaging features and clinical presentation
  5. To understand the differential diagnoses of VA and how to avoid common misdiagnoses
  6. To review the latest treatment strategies and principles for various VA subtypes
  7. To explore the impact of genetic factors on patient management in the context of vascular anomalies
