CIRSE Annual Meeting

The CIRSE Annual Congress is the biggest IR congress in Europe offering thousands of participants numerous scientific sessions, discussions on the newest medical developments as well as representation from major medical companies and insights into new technical innovations. CIRSE 2019 will take place in Barcelona, Spain from September 7-11.

Attending CIRSE can boost your career in numerous ways:

Residents and IRs in training can attend CIRSE at significantly reduced rates. Alternatly, to attend CIRSE for free, they can apply for the IR Trainee Support Programme by Feburary 28.

IR Trainee Support Programme 2019 – Attend CIRSE 2019 for free

If you are an interventional radiologist in training and would like to attend the biggest IR meeting in Europe, we have good news for you! Due to its huge success in 2018, the IR Trainee Support Programme is back for CIRSE 2019, which means that CIRSE Junior Members who submitted an abstract for CIRSE 2019 can apply for the IR Trainee Support Programme by February 28 and attend the congress free of charge.

How can I qualify for free CIRSE 2019 registration?

All CIRSE Junior Members who have submitted an abstract for CIRSE 2019 as a first or presenting author qualify for free registration. If you are currently in training and have submitted your abstract but are not yet a CIRSE Junior Member, you can still apply for the IR Trainee Support Programme if you update your membership status accordingly by February 28.

Q: Can I still submit an abstract for CIRSE 2019?
A: As the abstract submission deadline for CIRSE 2019 was February 11, 2019, it is no longer possible to submit your abstract.

Q: I am not a CIRSE Member yet. How can I become a CIRSE Junior Member?
A: You can become a Junior Member if you have completed your undergraduate medical training within the last eight years and are currently enrolled in post-graduate training. Find out more about CIRSE Junior Membership and how to apply.

Q: I am already a CIRSE Member and I’m enrolled in post-graduate training. How can I switch to Junior Membership?
A: To change your membership status from CIRSE Full Member to CIRSE Junior Member, please send confirmation that you have completed your undergraduate medical training withing the last eight years and are currently enrolled in post-graduate training to registration@cirse.org.

Q: I am a Junior Member in my national IR / radiology society. Am I also a CIRSE Junior Member?
A: Junior Membership of a national society does not automatically imply CIRSE Junior Membership status, as many national societies have a different definition of junior membership. Please log into your myCIRSE account to check your current membership status. If you are currently in training, but registered as a CIRSE Full Member, please send confirmation of your status as a trainee to registration@cirse.org.
