Having conducted research since 2012, CIRSE launched its own contract research organisation (CRO) Next Research in 2021.
For more detailed information on Next Research, please visit our website.
Next Research offers research services tailored to image-guided, minimally-invasive medicine and conducts educational activities.
In terms of research, we provide a link between practitioners and industry to ensure quantitative and qualitative data needs can be identified and addressed. Next Research conducts data collections that yield real value to practitioners, industry and patients.
Addressing the knowledge and skill gap many young IRs are facing with regards to clinical research is achieved by designing educational programms that equip young talents in IR with the skills, knowledge and tools necessary to become leaders of tomorrow.
The Next Research Advisory Board is comprised of experts from all fields of interventional radiology (e.g., interventional oncology, endovascular therapy and embolotherapy) as well as professionals from other medical specialties.
Together with the CIRSE Research Committee, the Advisory Board supports Next Research in appraising research ideas and driving the preparation of project proposals.

The promotion of an evidence based medical culture depends on contributions from quantitative as well as qualitative data collections in order to both generate and test hypotheses. By selecting the most appropriate research methods for any stage of a project, Next Research can provide explanation as well as measurement, and understanding as well as generalisability.
Whether you are exploring trends in clinical practice or are looking to confirm effectiveness in a defined patient group, Next Research is here to help. From small-scale clinical consultations to full-service management of trials we offer a broad range of services, fully customisable to your needs.
We believe in incorporating clinical knowledge and skill from step one. Setting up effective expert group meetings to understand and match the needs of clinicians and manufacturers is our specialty. Once we’ve worked out how your research question is best addressed we will match it with the services and investigator network required.
