Research Scholar Position
The Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute (MCVI), in Miami, Florida, USA, announces the opening of its application process for the research scholar position under the direction of Barry T. Katzen, M.D., Founder and Chief Medical Executive of the Institute.
This salaried position for one year enables the selected physician to perform independent and collaborative research for peer reviewed journal publications in the fields of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy.
The applicant should have demonstrated ability to speak and write English fluently and some publication experience in peer reviewed literature with basic knowledge and experience in statistical analysis.
Applicant must be a physician, from any discipline. The applicant must have an interest in cardiac and vascular invasive therapies and a demonstrated interest in research and publications, as well as any of the following; economics, health services research, medical outcomes, public health, and/or statistics. The MCVI Research Scholar must be capable of directing his or her own program while working collaboratively with our physicians and staff.
The Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute is the largest cardiovascular facility in South Florida providing evidence based care in a nationally recognized model of multidisciplinary collaboration. The Institute recently completed a $120 million dollar expansion and renovation resulting in a unique state of the art facility.
