Attending Radiologist, Interventional Radiology Service at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center

The Department of Radiology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a global leader in oncologic imaging, research and education, seeks to hire an Interventional Radiologist.  This facility offers the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care in an environment designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families.

The candidates should be fellowship-trained in interventional radiology and board-eligible in interventional radiology.  The candidates should have excellent clinical skills, research experience, and strong interpersonal skills.  They must be eligible for medical licensure in New York, board-certified in radiology or be committed to achieving certification in a specified time period, and otherwise qualified for appointment to the MSKCC faculty.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic track record with significant prior publications, the ability to obtain research funding, and a commitment to research.  The candidate should show superb clinical skills, a patient–centered approach, effective communication skills, and excellence in teaching.

IR Consultant at University Hospital Waterford, Waterford City, Ireland

Locum position for 12 months in the first instance

UHW has 516 beds and serves a population of over half a million people and is the regional referral centre for Vascular Surgery, Trauma Orthopaedics, Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology (including Interventional Cardiology), ENT, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Rheumatology, General Paediatrics and Neonatology.

The hospital is the designated Oncology centre for the south east of the country, incorporating Medical Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care, providing rapid access assessment for Breast, Prostate, Lung and Skin cancers. The hospital is the national penile cancer centre. Cancer surgery is centralised at UHW.

The Hospital’s primary academic affiliation is with University Hospital Cork, and is also a teaching hospital of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. UHW’s local research partner is the Waterford Institute of Technology (soon to be accorded Technical University status).

Vacancy for two full time Interventional Radiologists at the Netherlands Cancer Institute 

Your function within our department

The Netherlands Cancer Institute is a comprehensive cancer center in the Netherlands renowned for its cancer research and highly specialized oncological care. The department of Radiology, together with the departments of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy, carries out imaging and interventional research in oncology care. The highly specialized staff is involved in multidisciplinary research projects in an institute that encourages cross-department collaborations.

Our scientific focus is on research in modern imaging techniques (MRI en PET) for personalised medicine, interventional oncology, image guided radiotherapy, – surgery and artificial intelligence. There is a large number of projects in progress.

We are currently looking for two full-time Interventional Radiologists with a primary focus on oncological intervention.

You will be operating in a strong multidisciplinary environment, which is characterized by intensive collaboration between surgeons, medical oncologists, gastroenterologists, radiotherapists, nuclear physicians and pathologists. You will participate in multidisciplinary working groups and will intensively interact and collaborate with our referring physicians.

Interventional Radiology Research Fellowship at the Memoral Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

The Stephen Solomon Lab at the Memoral Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is developing pig models for liver, pancreatic, kidney, and lung cancer. Using these pig models, it is testing new methods for tumor embolization and ablation. The lab is currently looking for a post-doctoral fellow who can do pig tumor embolization and ablation experiments.

Candidates should have experience with basic embolization and ablation techniques. Animal research and basic molecular biology experience is a plus, but not required.

Standard postdoctoral salary: $50.000 / yr

Research Scholar Position at the ​Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute

The Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute (MCVI), in Miami, Florida, USA, announces the opening of its application process for the research scholar position under the direction of Barry T. Katzen, M.D., Founder and Chief Medical Executive of the Institute.

This salaried position for one year enables the selected physician to perform independent and collaborative research for peer reviewed journal publications in the fields of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy.

The applicant should have demonstrated ability to speak and write English fluently and some publication experience in peer reviewed literature with basic knowledge and experience in statistical analysis.

Applicant must be a physician, from any discipline. Clinical Fellow in Interventional Radiology at North Bristol NHS Trust


North Bristol NHS trust is seeking a radiology fellow with an interest in Vascular Intervention. The successful applicant will join a large imaging department of 38 consultants and 17 registrars based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The post will be full-time and have 9 clinical sessions and one research session per week. There may be a requirement to join a 1 in 10 resident radiology on-call supervised by 3 consultants also on-call (General Radiologist, Neuroradiologist and Interventional Radiologist). During a week of nights there will be no day-time working.

It is expected that candidates will have substantial experience in radiology, including possession of the FRCR diploma or an equivalent qualification in radiology.

The posts will be initially for one year fixed term.

The annual salary is in accordance with the Specialist Registrar Scale as follows (October 2018 rates); £31,217 – £49,086.

A standard working week is 40 hours and where there is a requirement to support the Registrar full-shift rota, this post would attract a supplement of an additional 40% of the basic salary for working on the out of hour’s rota up to a weekly average of 48 hours.
