Non-liquid embolisation from A to Z, Strasbourg/FR, May 25-26, 2023

Gelfoam, coils, particles and plugs comprise the interventional radiologists’ armamentarium for managing different clinical scenarios in both elective and emergency settings.

Training in real models allows IRs to gain the expertise needed to manage these products. Due to the similarity between pig and human anatomy, pigs will be used in the in-vivo workshops in order to learn how to deal with gelfoam, coils, particles and plugs. Further, participants will rotate through ex-vivo workshops and train on models, with the invaluable opportunity to have face-to-face discussions with faculty experts. Additional parallel stations will allow participants to learn about different devices and an opportunity to train on simulators.

Organised by Roberto Iezzi and Pierleone Lucatelli and featuring a team of expert faculty members, this course will ensure that participants will acquire deep knowledge of all innovations, and technical characteristics related to non-liquid embolisation.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for interventional radiologists who have completed their radiology training and are interested in fine-tuning their practical skills and learning more about the current treatment options for routine as well as technically challenging cases.
