CIRSE events: Plan your 2024

2024 is upon us, and a full year of continuing IR education lies ahead! Read on to make sure you’ve marked your calendar for CIRSE’s 2024 congresses and events.

ECIO 2024

This year’s European Conference on Interventional Oncology will take place from April 28 – May 1 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. ECIO is the prime multidisciplinary platform for knowledge exchange in the field of interventional oncology, bringing together a growing community of experts on minimally invasive cancer care. Registration has just opened, and the strongly reduced opening fee will be available until February 1. As in previous years, the Collaborating Against Cancer Initiative will allow congress delegates to bring their non-radiologist colleagues at no extra cost in order to strengthen multidisciplinary cooperation within the MDT.

ET 2024

Vienna will host the European Conference on Embolotherapy from June 1-4, 2024. ET is CIRSE’s dedicated annual embolotherapy conference, reflective of how integral embolotherapy has become to interventional radiology practice. It’s more important than ever that IRs master embolization procedures and their numerous applications. This year’s congress will feature many innovative formats, including plenary sessions on some of the most important embolization topics in the field followed by “Deep dive” sessions on the same subject to allow attendees to further their knowledge. Hands on device trainings and video learning sessions will also be included.

Abstract submission for ET 2024 is open until February 15, and scientific, educational, case report, and FIRST@ET clinical trial abstracts will be accepted. Several successful presenters from last year wrote to us to give hopeful submitters tips and tricks on what to expect when submitting your abstract.

CIRSE 2024

It feels like just yesterday that the IR community gathered in Copenhagen for CIRSE 2023, but preparations for CIRSE 2024 in Portugal are already well underway! The world’s biggest meeting focusing on interventional radiology will take place in Lisbon from September 14-18 this year.

Abstract submission will open later this month and registration will be available from April 9. In the meantime, take a first look at the 2024 programme highlights, check out tips and trips from past presenters, or review all CIRSE 2023 content via the CIRSE Library.

ESIR
