Award of Excellence and Innovation in IR

The Award of Excellence and Innovation in Interventional Radiology is sponsored by the Rolf W. Günther Foundation for Radiological Sciences and is awarded for outstanding work for the advancement of interventional radiology. Established in 2012, this distinction has been given to some of the most innovative physicians in the field.

The recipient of the award does not only receive a certificate of merit, but also a cash prize of € 6,000 at the Opening and Awards Ceremony of the CIRSE Annual Congress.

The application period for this year’s Award of Excellence and Innovation in IR has ended and all applications are currently being reviewed. Applicants will be informed about the review board’s decision in June.
