
CIRSE Fellowship
CIRSE Fellowship honours physicians and scientists who have made a significant contribution to Interventional Radiology and/or cardiovascular imaging techniques.
Fellows shall be physicians and scientists residing in Europe who have made a significant contribution to interventional radiology and/or cardiovascular imaging techniques. Fellows have the right to vote and hold office and are subject to the membership fees.
Corresponding Fellows shall be physicians and scientists residing outside Europe who otherwise fulfil all the criteria for Fellowship. They shall not have the right to vote or hold office. They shall be subject to the membership fees.
Members may apply for Fellowship if the following criteria apply:
- The candidate finished his/her medical specialty training at least 5 years ago
- The candidate has been a CIRSE member for at least 3 years
- The candidate must have published at least five articles in cardiovascular and interventional radiology, in internationally recognised, peer-reviewed scientific journals. Candidates must have been the first or last author of at least two these publications.

Please note that the Membership Committee decides about rejection or acceptance of fellow applications:
The Membership Committee will assess applications. The names of applicants receiving preliminary approval by the Membership Committee will be published in the society newsletter and a period of six weeks, starting on the date of publication, shall be allowed for members to comment on the applicants’ suitability. After this period, the Membership Committee will make its final decision (within four weeks) on membership, subject to ratification by the Executive Committee. The names of those applicants whose applications found preliminary approval by the Membership Committee will be published on our CIRSE website as well.
